Serdaroğlu stated that the cost of living is the consequence of the inflation created and it is not a matter to be discussed; they will not discuss the cost of living at the minimum wage table, but will discuss the welfare share to be added.
“We’re sorry, this minimum wage table isn’t a bargaining table. Minimum wage earners are not people to be bargained with,” said Ahmet Serdaroğlu, calling for a “minimum conscience”.

Serdaroğlu stated that the reason for today’s demonstration was to call for the gathering of the table, as the conditions for not opening the minimum wage table, such as the inflation not announced by the government and the employer representative not determined, have now disappeared, and that after his statements, the Minister of Labor and Social Security announced that the table would be convened on Friday.
Claiming that Hür-İş, which is always on the side of the right, has been disturbed by some government officials, including the Prime Minister, for expressing their discomforts, Serdaroğlu asked, “Were we going to allow every kind of discussion to be made to not give the created cost of living to the minimum wage earners?”
Serdaroğlu claimed that what is being attempted at the minimum wage table is to discuss how much of the cost of living will be reflected in the minimum wage, and asked, “Will it be a discussion of how much of what you take from people’s pockets will you give back?”
Serdaroğlu stated that the issue to be discussed should be the welfare share to be added on the cost of living.

Claiming that some union presidents made statements against Hür-İş by “advocating for the government,” Serdaroğlu addressed these unions, asking, “What have you done for the minimum wage until today? Do you have any action, any speech?”
Serdaroğlu said, “Sorry, the Hür-İş Federation, the unions affiliated with Hür-İş, and other unions with the union consciousness of Hür-İş cannot be overshadowed by anyone. We will continue to walk on the path of justice. We will continue to defend justice. We swore to do this.”
Responding to the statements that Kamu-İş cannot be organized in municipalities, and reading the articles in the Kamu-İş statute regarding this, Serdaroğlu emphasized that Kamu-İş can be organized in all public service areas and asked, “Are municipalities the private sector?”
