Kulüpten yapılan açıklamada, alınan kötü sonuçların ardından karşılıklı anlaşmayla teknik direktör Diego Martinez’in görevine son verildiği bildirildi.

Son 4 haftada rakiplerine yenilen Espanyol’da altyapıda görev yapan takımın eski futbolcularından 42 yaşındaki Luis Garcia’nın, Martinez’in yerine teknik direktörlüğe getirilmesi bekleniyor.

Recently, two Spanish football clubs, Espanyol and Real Valladolid, announced changes in their coaching staff. These announcements came as no surprise as both clubs have had a disappointing season so far and needed to make changes to turn their fortunes around.

Espanyol, a club based in Barcelona, announced the departure of their coach, Pablo Machin, on January 22nd. Machin had been in charge of the club for less than six months and had struggled to get positive results. Espanyol is currently bottom of the La Liga table with only two wins in their 20 games played this season. The club has appointed Francisco Rufete as interim head coach until the end of the season. Rufete is a former Espanyol player and has previously worked as a sporting director for the club.

Real Valladolid, a club based in the northwest of Spain, announced the sacking of their coach, Sergio Gonzalez, on January 28th. Gonzalez had been in charge of the club since 2018 and had led them to promotion from the second division in his first season. However, the club has struggled in the current season, sitting in 16th place, just three points above the relegation zone. Valladolid has appointed Ronaldo Nazario, the club’s majority shareholder and former Brazilian football star, as the new president. Ronaldo has wasted no time in appointing a new coach, bringing in former Valencia and Sevilla coach, Javi Gracia.

Both Espanyol and Real Valladolid will be hoping that these changes will produce positive results on the pitch. With the season reaching its crucial stage, both clubs will be looking to climb up the table and avoid relegation. The return of La Liga after the COVID-19 enforced break will give the new coaches a fresh opportunity to make their mark on their respective clubs.

It will be interesting to see how Espanyol and Real Valladolid perform under their new coaches. La Liga is known for its competitiveness, and any team can beat any other on their day. The new coaches will need to ensure that their teams are organized, motivated and play to their potential in order to achieve success. La Liga fans will be eagerly watching to see how their favorite teams fare in the final stages of the season.
