Olağan İlçe Gençlik Kolları Kongrelerinde Gençlik Kolları İlçe Başkanlığı görevlerine seçildi. Bu süre içerisinde Amerika / Washington’da bir düşünce kuruluşunda Ortadoğu, Amerika ve Dünya Siyaseti üzerine eğitim aldı ve halen Ak Parti Gençlik İstanbul İl Başkanlığı Uluslararası İlişkiler Çalışma Grubunda görev almaktadır. Özdemir Belediye Meclis Üyeliği Aday Adaylığı müracaatından dolayı Kasım 2013’te Gençlik Kolları İlçe Başkanlığı görevinden ayrıldı. İnşaat sektöründe Proje, Yapı Denetim, İnşaat Malzemeleri satışı , Mobilya ve Müteahhitlik hizmetleri veren şirketleri bulunan Özdemir, evli ve 1 çocuk babasıdır, İngilizce bilmektedir.
