Deva Party leader Ali Babacan has evaluated the decision to run in the election from CHP lists. Babacan stated that the offer came from the CHP and that if the 26 candidates they presented were elected, they would become Deva Party deputies.
“We have 26 candidates in 21 cities. They are running as Deva Party candidates, but they are running in the election from the CHP lists. These friends will become Deva deputies on the day they are elected,” said Babacan.
Babacan described the joint list decision as a sacrifice not only for the CHP but also for themselves and reminded that they would not use their own logos on the ballot.
“As a political identity, yes, it is a sacrifice, for CHP. Why? Because their own party members are being removed from the list. Deva, Gelecek, and Saadet are entering. It is also a sacrifice for us because there will be no Deva Party logo when we look at the ballot,” said Babacan.
