Büyük Britanya Dopingle Mücadele Ajansı tarafından yapılan açıklamada, son olarak geçen yıl şubat ayında Kell Brook ile yaptığı maç öncesi girdiği doping testinde kanında yasaklı anabolik ostarin maddesi tespit edilen 36 yaşındaki boksörün, iki yıl tüm sportif faaliyetlere iştirakten men edildiği belirtildi.
Doping kurallarını ihlal ettiğini kabul eden Khan ise maddeyi kasıtlı olarak almadığını söyledi. Cezası 6 Nisan 2022’den itibaren başlatılan Pakistan asıllı İngiliz boksör, 5 Nisan 2024 tarihine kadar hiçbir profesyonel spor etkinliğine katılamayacak.

Amir Khan is a British professional boxer who was born on December 8, 1986, in Bolton, Greater Manchester, England. He is of Pakistani descent and has become one of the most popular boxers in the world.
