The Turkish Foreign Minister, Mevlut Cavusoglu, recently had a meeting with his Algerian and Malagasy counterparts. The discussions sought to strengthen diplomatic relations among the three countries and explore areas of collaboration for the mutual benefit of their respective nations.

During the talks, Cavusoglu emphasized the need to increase trade and investment between Turkey, Algeria, and Madagascar. The Turkish Foreign Minister said that there are several areas where the countries have complementary strengths, including energy, agriculture, tourism, and infrastructure development. He encouraged the Algerian and Malagasy delegations to explore opportunities in these sectors and look for ways to leverage their comparative advantages.

Algerian Foreign Minister, Sabri Boukadoum, praised Turkey for its vital role in maintaining peace and stability in the region. He expressed interest in collaborating with Turkey on matters related to regional security, terrorism, and non-proliferation of nuclear weapons. Boukadoum noted that Algeria stands ready to work with Turkey and other partners to address the growing menace of terrorism and extremism, which pose a serious threat to regional stability and global peace.

For his part, the Malagasy Foreign Minister, Tehindrazanarivelo Djacoba, appreciated Turkey’s interest in Madagascar and the broader African continent. He highlighted Madagascar’s potential as an emerging market and underlined the need for Turkish businesses to explore investment opportunities in the country. Djacoba said that Madagascar is open to foreign investment, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, energy, tourism, and agriculture.

The meeting between the Turkish, Algerian, and Malagasy Foreign Ministers comes at a time when the world is facing multiple challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change, and regional conflicts. The three countries share a common interest in promoting peace, stability, and development in their respective regions and beyond. By working together, they can create synergies that benefit their populations and contribute to a better world for all.

In conclusion, the meeting between Mevlut Cavusoglu, Sabri Boukadoum, and Tehindrazanarivelo Djacoba was a positive step toward strengthening ties between their countries. The discussions were fruitful, and the delegations committed to finding ways of deepening cooperation on multiple fronts. It is hoped that this meeting will lay the groundwork for a new era of collaboration and friendship among Algeria, Madagascar, and Turkey.
