Marmara Doğalgaz DEpolama projesinde kullanılan 63 metrelik platform Tekirdağ’dan Abu Dhabi’ye doğru yola çıktı. Platformun geçişi sırasında Çanakkale Boğazı gemi trafiğine kapatıldı.

Çanakkale Boğazı, dev platformun geçişi nedeniyle çift yönlü olarak transit gemi geçişlerine kapatıldı.

Tekirdağ Limanı’ndan Birleşik Arap Emirlikleri’ndeki Abu Dhabi Limanı’na giden, Panama bayraklı 63 metre boyunda ve 120 metre kule yüksekliğine sahip “Aras Driller” adlı platform, sabah saatlerinde Marmara Denizi yönünden Boğaz’a giriş yaptı.

Platformun kuleleri, 1915 Çanakkale Köprüsü’nden geçiş yapabilmesi için suya batırılarak yüksekliği 67 metreye düşürüldü.

“Anka-6” ve “Marin Tug-1” isimli römokörler tarafından çekilen platforma boğaz geçişi sırasında, Kıyı Emniyeti Genel Müdürlüğüne (KEGM) ait, “Kurtarma-9”, “Kurtarma-13”, “Kurtarma-15” ve “Kurtarma-16” romörkörleri ile “KEGM-9” hızlı tahlisiye botu eşlik etti.

Çanakkale Boğazı, platformun geçişi nedeniyle çift yönlü olarak transit gemi geçişlerine kapatıldı. Boğaz yaklaşık 15 saat gemi trafiğine kapalı tutulacak.

Platform, daha sonra Ege Denizi çıkışını tamamlamak üzere Kumkale açıklarında bekleyen Norveç bayraklı 199 metre boyundaki, ağır yük taşıma özelliğine sahip “Seaway Eagle” isimli gemiye yüklenerek seyrine devam edecek.

Aras Driller isimli platform, 18 Ekim 2021’de Çanakkale Boğazı’ndan geçerek, BOTAŞ Genel Müdürlüğü uhdesinde yürütülen Kuzey Marmara Doğalgaz Depolama Tevsi (Faz 3) Projesi ikmal inşaatında kullanılmıştı.
