Geçmiş dönemlerde yapılan transferler ile kendi dönemlerinde yapılan transferleri mali olarak karşılaştıran Timur, “Bizle aynı bütçenin harcandığı 108 milyon euro, 2013-2014 sezonunda Chedjou, Gökhan Zan, Engin Baytar, Felipe Melo, Eray İşcan, Bruma, İzzet Hajrovic, Alex Telles, Umut Gündoğan, Salih Dursun, Oğuzhan Kayar, Ontivero, Koray Günter ve Veysel Sarı transferiyle ile aynı parayı harcadık. Bir önceki sene de Drogba ve Sneijderli dönem var. Bununla da aynı parayı harcadık. İyi transfer dönemi olduğu için söylüyorum. Geçen sene 90 milyon euro, yaz transfer döneminde aynı yükümlülük seviyesindeydik.” dedi.

“Tek farkı Zaniolo. Biz almadan 6 gün önce 30 milyon euroya Bournemouth’a satılmıştı. Biz son gece transfer ettik. 5 yıl vade ile ilk ödemesi kasım ayında olmak üzere yarı fiyatına 15 milyon euroya aldık.” diyen Timur sözlerini şöyle sürdürdü: “Transferin son günlerinde şöyle bakıyorduk ya oyuncunun son anda vazgeçtiği ya da kulübün son anda vazgeçtiği. İki tane öyle oyuncu bulduk. Bir tanesi tekrar kulübünde kaldı. Onu kulübü yetiştirememişti sadece 3 dakika farkla. Bu da Hakim Ziyech’ti. Chelsea’den PSG’ye gidiyordu, 3 dakika ile yetiştiremedi sonra kaldı. Biri de Zaniolo’ydu. Seneye de sözleşmesi dolacağı için, takımı ile kavgalı ayrılıp, seyircisi evi bastığı için Roma’yı terk ettiği için 30 milyonluk oyuncuyu 15 milyon euroya aldık. Cebimizden de bir kuruş para çıkmadı. 6 ay oynayamayacaktı Roma’da sözleşmesi de 1 sene kalmış oluyordu. O 20 milyonu düştüğümüzde biz geçen seneki transfer dönemiyle aynıyız. Bundan önceki transfer dönemlerinden kimisinden 45 milyon euro o daha az yükümlülükle bitirmişiz.”
