EURO 2024 Elemeleri’nde ara verilmeyen ikinci haftaya, 8 karşılaşmayla başlandı.
Elemelerin ikinci haftasında, C, H ve J gruplarında maçlar yapıldı.
C Grubu’nda Ukrayna’yı Wembley Stadı’nda konuk eden İngiltere, mücadeleyi 2-0 kazandı. İki maç sonunda 6 puana ulaşan İngiltere, grupta liderlik koltuğuna oturdu.
İlk maçında İngiltere’ye kaybeden İtalya ise Malta deplasmanından 2-0 galip ayrıldı.
Portekiz, J Grubu’nda konuk olduğu Lüksemburg’u 6-0 mağlup etti.
Bu arada futbol tarihinin en fazla milli maça çıkan oyuncu rekorunun yeni sahibi 38 yaşındaki Ronaldo, Lüksemburg karşısında çıktığı 11. karşılaşmada 11. golüne imza attı.
