İsveç parlamentosu NATO tasarısını onayladı
Parlamentoda bugün yapılan oylamada NATO üyeliği 37’ye karşı 269 oyla onaylandı.
Sol Parti ve Yeşiller Çevre Partisi NATO üyeliğine karşı oy kullandı.
İsveç’in NATO üyesi olabilmesi için Türkiye ve Macaristan’ın onayını alması gerekiyor. Halihazırda 28 NATO ülkesi, Finlandiya ve İsveç’in NATO üyeliğini kabul etti.

Dışişleri Bakanı Tobias Billström, parlamentodaki oylamayı, “Tarihi bir olay” şeklinde nitelendirerek “İkinci Dünya Savaşı’ndan sonra güvenlik açısından İsveç en ciddi durumu yaşıyor. NATO üyeliği, İsveç’in güvenliğini garantiye almanın ve tüm Avrupa, Atlantik bölgesinin güvenliğini güçlendirmenin ve dayanışma içinde katkıda bulunmanın en iyi yoludur” ifadesini kullandı.
Billström, “İsveç, siber saldırıları, yeni teknoloji ve uzay çalışmaları gibi alanlarda da NATO’ya katkıda bulunmak için benzersiz yeteneklere sahiptir. İsveç güvenilecek bir müttefik olacak” dedi.
Savunma Bakanı Pal Jonson da İsveç’i askeri olarak NATO’ya entegre etmek için çok çalıştıklarını söyledi.
İsveç’in NATO üyeliğinin Avrupa’ya büyük katkısı olacağını savunan Jonson, “İsveç’in NATO üyeliği dünyada, güvenlik, savunma ve siyasi sonuçları olacak tarihi bir olaydır” diye konuştu.
