“ÇALIŞTIĞIM FİLMİN OSCAR ÖDÜLÜ ALACAĞINI BİRİSİ SÖYLESE İNANMAZDIM”
En son bu yıl En İyi Animasyon Filmi dalında Oscar ödülü alan “Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio” filmi için set tasarımı yaptığını söyleyen Çaydere, “Filmde 300’den fazla kişi görev alırken çekimleri dört yıl sürdü. Emeklerimizin karşılığını kazandığımız ödülle aldık. Oscar ödüllerinde bulunma şansım oldu. Oscar ödüllerini düzenleyen kuruluşun daha önce düzenlediği Akademi Gold adlı yetenek geliştirme programında yer almıştım. O program sayesinde Oscar ödül törenine katılma şansım oldu” dedi.
“Set tasarımcısı olarak çalıştığım filmin ödül almasına da salonda şahit oldum” diyen Çaydere, “Bu benim için heyecan verici bir deneyimdi. Hacettepe Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi İç Mimarlık ve Sanat Tasarımı bölümünden mezun olduktan sonra çeşitli iç mimarlık ve mobilya firmalarında çalışmıştım. 10 yıl önce bir mobilya firmasında çalışırken 10 yıl sonra set tasarımını yaptığım filmin Oscar ödülü alacağını birisi söylese inanmazdım herhalde” diye konuştu.
