Pentagon: ABD’nin Suriye’deki başka bir üssüne daha saldırı düzenlendi
Suriye’nin Haseke ilinde dün ABD öncülüğündeki koalisyona ait bir tesisi insansız hava aracıyla (İHA) vurarak ABD’li bir sözleşmeli personelin ölümüne, 5’i asker biri sözleşmeli 6 personelin de yaralanmasına yol açan İran destekli gruplar bu sefer de Deyrizor’daki ABD üssünü hedef aldı.
Günlük basın toplantısında Pentagon Sözcüsü Ryder, yerel saatle 08.05 sularında Deyrizor’da ABD tarafından Yeşil Köy olarak adlandırılan üsse 10 roketle saldırı düzenlendiğini bildirdi.
Ryder, saldırıda herhangi bir kayıp vermediklerini belirtirken, ABD Merkez Kuvvetler Komutanlığından (CENTCOM) yapılan yazılı açıklamada, roketlerin üssün yakınındaki bir eve isabet ettiğini ve iki kadınla iki çocuğun hafif şekilde yaralandığı bilgisi verildi.
Sözcü, iki saldırıyı düzenleyen grubun da aynı olduğunu ileri sürdü.
Haseke’deki üsse düzenlenen saldırıdan sonra ABD, İran Devrim Muhafızları ile ilişkili Suriye’deki iki tesisi hava saldırılarıyla vurmuştu.
Hava savunma radarlarının çalışmadığı iddiası
New York Times gazetesinin ABD’li yetkililere dayandırdığı, bir Amerikalı sözleşmeli personelin öldüğü İHA saldırısına ilişkin haberinde, ABD’nin Suriye’deki hava savunma radarlarının çalışmadığı ileri sürüldü.
Gazetenin haberinde, radarların çalışmadığının İran ile ilişkili gruplarca bilindiğinden şüphe edildiği belirtildi.
Bu habere ilişkin soruları yanıtlayan Ryder ise saldırının soruşturulduğunu, bu konunun da CENTCOM tarafından incelendiğini söyledi.
Tuğgeneral Ryder, diğer taraftan alanı görecek bir radar gözlem kapasitesinin olduğunu iddia etti.
Bir personelin öldüğü saldırıya ilişkin açıklamada İHA’nın İran’a ait olduğu ifade edildiği ve Devrim Muhafızları Ordusuyla ilişkili hedeflerin vurulduğunu hatırlatan bir gazetecinin “Burada İran’ı bir Amerikan vatandaşının ölümünden sorumlu tutuyor musunuz?” sorusuna ise Ryder, “İran, elbette ki bu grupları destekliyor ve bu nedenle de onların bölgede güvensizlik, istikrarsızlığa yol açmamalarını sağlamakla yükümlüdür.” yanıtını vermekle yetindi.
