Tatar ABD Büyükelçisi Fisher’i kabul etti
Cumhurbaşkanı Ersin Tatar, ABD’nin Lefkoşa Büyükelçisi Julie D. Fisher’i kabul etti.
Cumhurbaşkanlığı’nda saat 15: 30’da başlayan görüşme yaklaşık bir saat sürdü.
Kabul sonrasında basına kısa bir açıklama yapan Büyükelçi Fisher, Cumhurbaşkanı Tatar ile yaptıkları bu ilk görüşmenin iyi geçtiğini ve yapıcı bir görüşme olduğunu kaydetti.
Türkiye’de meydana gelen depremde hayatını kaybeden Kıbrıslı Türkler’le ilgili taziyelerini Tatar’a ilettiğini belirten Fisher, “Kıbrıslı gençlerin bu şekilde hayatlarını kaybetmesi gerçekten bir trajedi, Amerikalıların da Kıbrıslılar kadar bunu derinden hissettiğini düşünüyorum” dedi.
Fisher, Amerika’nın adada müzakerelerin Güvenlik Konseyi kararları ışığında, iki kesimli, iki taraflı siyasi eşitliğine dayalı federasyon temelinde yeniden başlamasına yönelik destek taahhüdünün ve kararlılığın sürdüğünü de Cumhurbaşkanı Tatar’a ilettiğini söyledi.

The Tatar President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, had a meeting with the Ambassador of the United States to Russia, John Sullivan, and the U.S. Ambassador to Tatarstan, Derek Hogan, prior to welcoming the Ambassador of the United States to the Republic of Tatarstan, Colin P. Fisher.
The meeting with the two U.S. ambassadors primarily focused on discussing bilateral ties between the United States and Tatarstan, as well as exploring potential collaborative ventures.
