Ukrayna, yaklaşık 15,6 milyar dolarlık finansman paketi için IMF ile anlaştı
IMF’den yapılan açıklamada, IMF misyon heyeti ile Ukraynalı yetkililerin, finansal istikrarı ve ekonomik toparlamayı destekleme dahil 48 aylık bir fon sağlanması konusunda teknik düzeyde uzlaştığı belirtildi.
Açıklamada, Ukraynalı yetkililerin talebi üzerine Gavin Gray liderliğindeki IMF heyetinin 8-15 Mart tarihlerinde Varşova’da Ukraynalı yetkililerle 4 yıllık bir ekonomik program hakkında görüşmelerde bulunduğu aktarıldı.
Finansman paketinin yaklaşık 15,6 milyar dolar büyüklüğünde olduğu belirtilen açıklamada, söz konusu ekonomik programın IMF İcra Direktörleri Kurulu’nun onayına tabi olduğu ve kurulun gelecek haftalarda değerlendirmesinin beklendiği kaydedildi.
Öte yandan ABD Hazine Bakanı Janet Yellen, Ukrayna ve IMF arasında yeni ekonomik program üzerinde sağlanan anlaşmaya ilişkin yazılı bir açıklamada yaptı.
İddialı ve uygun şekilde şartlandırılmış bir IMF programının iyi yönetişimi güçlendirmek, yolsuzluk risklerini ele almak ve ihtiyaç duyulan mali desteği sağlamak dahil Ukrayna’nın reform çabalarını desteklemek için kritik öneme sahip olduğunu vurgulayan Yellen, ABD ve ortaklarının sağladığı ekonomik yardımı da destekleyeceğini ifade etti.
