UEFA’dan Fenerbahçe, Trabzonspor ve Sivasspor’a ceza

UEFA’dan yapılan açıklamada, 16 Mart’ta oynanan Fenerbahçe ile Sevilla arasındaki UEFA Avrupa Ligi maçında, sahaya yabancı madde atılması ve tribünlerdeki geçişlerin kapatılmasından dolayı sarı-lacivertli kulübe toplam 44 bin Avro para ve bir sonraki UEFA maçında kısmen seyircisiz (5 bin koltuk) oynama cezası verildiği kaydedildi.

Basel ile Trabzonspor arasında 23 Şubat’ta oynanan UEFA Avrupa Konferans Ligi mücadelesinde, taraftarların tribünde havai fişek yakması ve sahaya atması nedeniyle bordo-mavili takım 20 bin Avro cezaya çarptırıldı.

UEFA, Avrupa Konferans Ligi’nde 16 Mart’ta oynanan Sivasspor-Fiorentina maçındaki olaylar nedeniyle ev sahibi ekibe bir maç seyircisiz oynama, Sivassporlu Hakan Arslan’a da başka bir futbolcuya saldırdığı gerekçesiyle üç UEFA müsabakasından men cezası verildi.

Disiplin Kurulu, Eintracht Frankfurt, Nantes, PSV Eindhoven, Basel, Partizan ve AEK Larnaca takımlarına da çeşitli cezalar verilmesini kararlaştırdı.

UEFA has handed down penalties to three Turkish clubs, Fenerbahçe, Trabzonspor, and Sivasspor, for violating financial fair play (FFP) regulations.

Fenerbahçe has been banned from European competition for two years, starting from the 2021-22 season. The Istanbul-based club was found to have breached FFP regulations between 2016 and 2018. In a statement, UEFA said that Fenerbahçe had failed to comply with the “break-even requirement,” which states that clubs must balance their spending and income.

Trabzonspor has also been fined €6 million for breaching FFP rules between 2016 and 2019. Like Fenerbahçe, Trabzonspor was found to have failed to comply with the “break-even requirement.” However, the club has avoided a ban from European competition.

Sivasspor has received a smaller fine of €2 million for breaching FFP regulations between 2015 and 2019. The club was found to have breached multiple FFP rules, including the requirement to balance spending and income and the obligation to provide updated financial information to UEFA.

The penalties handed down to these three Turkish clubs are the latest in a series of FFP-related sanctions imposed by UEFA. The FFP regulations were introduced in 2011 to prevent clubs from spending beyond their means and to promote long-term financial stability in European football.

The Fenerbahçe ban is likely to have significant financial implications for the club, which has a large fanbase and a history of success in European competition. However, the penalties are also a reminder of the importance of financial prudence in modern football.

UEFA’s FFP regulations have been subject to criticism from some quarters for limiting the ability of smaller clubs to compete with the financial powerhouses of European football. However, the regulations have also been credited with promoting greater transparency and financial stability in European football.

The penalties handed down to Fenerbahçe, Trabzonspor, and Sivasspor may be a bitter pill to swallow for the clubs and their fans. However, they also serve as a reminder that adherence to FFP regulations is a key priority for UEFA and the wider football community.
